I took this shot a while ago... when I did my shoot with Jen Pond. I randomly started thinking about this image today and decided to revisit it. Initially I dismissed it, but the more I stare at it, the more I am beginning to like it.

I had a shoot today with Sara. Here's an outtake from that shoot. I can't wait for Monday to roll around so I can drop off the film at the lab! Be back soon with more photos from this shoot.

speaking of inspiration...

And continuing on the thread of inspiration.... I came across Flora Hanitijo's work via PDN 30. She was a winner in 2009. Her work makes me want to pack up my bags and go travel the world, yet is also a reminder that some of the most amazing photos are simple and elegant. I used to work for photographer Jim Erickson and one of the most valuable pieces of advice he gave me was the photos are everywhere. Flora's work echos this thought. Go visit her site and be amazed!

I came across a very cool, inspiring website The Moment Jars. Its a nice reminder about the moments that shape us, our lives. After I read several moments, I thought it would be fun to create my own moment jar, filling it with all the big and small experiences that make my life.

Raimonds Staprans may look familiar because I have blogged about him before. I met Raimonds earlier this year when I shot a job for Artworks Magazine. I was going through some of the imagery from the job and decided to post this one up on my website. I like environmental portraits.
